Just wanted to drop off a couple of recommendations!

Second: for those of you who might be interested in working with something a little more advanced than this program, try looking up Source Film Maker. It utilizes models and settings from other games to create short movies and .gifs! Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, so I'm not sure how the proprietary systems work, but it might be worth a look - some of it is pretty impressive!

I tried SFM and here are my experiences:

SFM is pretty cool, it has hair rigging, gravity (no clipping, flowing hair :x ). Plus it has an actual lighting system that you can customize. If you know how to do things in the pose editor in the klub it should be easy to learn they both use the translate/rotate manipulators. Just make sure you download a model that has inverse kinematics or is rigged that way.

Pros:
-Free
-Import actual characters as is
-Advanced options / controls for animating
-Customizable lighting system

Cons:
-Cannot create your own character easily.
-System requirements, maybe.

Agreed.

Maybe 7.5 will have some kind of mod manager :). I don't think creating huge stand-alone add-ons is sustainable in the future (from the feedback I've been reading on the the forums, this is going cause inevitable out of memory problems).

grumpf44's JSGME is very useful for anyone running lots of mods; you choose what you want for that particular scene.

Looks awesome, going to try it out. Been thinking about adding something halloween themed into the other game. Already got pumpkins ^^
