Richter BelmontLittle detail about dress exported with CollaTKane
#1
If you ever looked scene file of a default game dress or addon made using host, you will notice that the mesh will use a object like "R9XXX_group" as parent. (body_mesh_group for body...)
With CollaTKane, the parent is root_pivot_rotation_group...
and I feel this is wrong.
This happen because we need to make the armature as the parent of our mesh for the weight group to be exported.
Then the mesh will use the parent of the armature as parent after the .dae export.

Do we really need to make the armature as the parent of our mesh?
Nope.
In fact, we only need to have the armature in our 3d scene and make our mesh have a armature modifier using the root_rotation_group as target.
The parent of uour mesh can be totally other object.
So here the extra step people should do before exporting .dae dress/body using CollaTkane.

Forget about these step for hair: they will error because hair are a special case.
Short, stay with the 5min hand made modification if exporting hair

1. Do as usual: the armature parenting, weighting, etc...
2. Create a new object (empty), give it the a correct name (exemple, R9Hat081_group), then make TRS_group become its parent
3. Clear the parent of your mesh:
-right-click
-alt+p
-clear parent
4. add an armature modifier to your mesh that use the root_rotation_group armature as target.
5. make your object created at step 2 become the parent of your mesh.
6.Export as usual.

Why didn't I notice that before?
Well, try to import you newly created .dae into blender:
Blender will cahnge the parent of you mesh back to root_pivot_rotation_group...
and this made me believe that .dae exported was invalid
