lucwinskyK17 and VR
#1
Hi,

I was wondering if there's any way to play K17 in VR. If so, is there a guide somewhere?

I just bought a Quest 2 and I would VERY much like to use it with K17.

Thank you

Yes. wih H5 installed. Then you can switch in Game to VR by pressing F3 ;o)

I haven't tested it, but there is an "Occulus VR" checkbox on the V11 Options boot menu.

Note, "Hook 5" (which requires VX) has some "Occulus VR" support, but I don't know how to configure it.

Oops - I forgot to mention that it only works with VX. Not with VXI....

I did setup everything, I have hook5 and a scene running. My quest 2 is linked to my computer. When I press F3, my quest goes completely black. When I press F3 to deactivate VR, my quest goes back to the link menu. I didn't find any config on the hook5 menu

Unfortunately I have no experience with VR, so it may be that the spatial representation in H5 is set to these simple blue/red glasses...
For Christmas I thought about buying a VR, so I'm interested in the topic. Does the display on your PC screen change when F3 is pressed?

If so, change the function in main.fx (in binaries - and also look in mainfx_errors.txt). Needs to restart room or game -
....
;iSeparationMode - 0:Anaglyph, 1:SideBySide, 2:OculusHome 3:SideBySide2 4:OpenVR
iSeparationMode = 0
....
Give it a try ;o)

The display on the PC does become blurry a bit and colors become a bit strange. The quest 2 display becomes completely dark.

I checked the settings in main11.fx and my settings are exactly as you wrote. Also, nothing in mainfx_errors.txt that seems to refer to VR.

Okay - the setting of iSeparationMode is default 0. You can set the other modes by entering the corresponding number and saving. For example -
iSeparationMode = 1 (SidebySide - as described above)

I would be happy if it worked ;o)

Oh I'm dumb... Sorry I didn't understand that the first line was commented... I'll try that as soon as I can
