I'm sure most of you are familiar with the legendary "O Fortuna" from "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff. It is by far my all-time favorite classical music piece and there is one particular recording of it that I've always loved, but I've never known the name of the orchestra... Until today. A couple of years ago I uploaded this recording to one of my YouTube channels to see if anyone could help me and tell me the name of the orchestra. No one ever did. But today I just happened to log on to that channel and was curious enough to have a look through the copyright notices on my videos, the "O Fortuna" recording being one of them. So I checked the copyright notices for that video and lo and behold, there it was:
Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi: O Fortuna - Robert Shaw I looked up "O Fortuna Robert Shaw" on YouTube, clicked on the first video I found... and that was the exact recording! ![]() Robert Shaw, Atlanta Boy Choir, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus & Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - Carmina Burana: Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi. O Fortuna
