MrMcringleberryGraphical Issues
#1
Sorry if this isnt the place for this, but I didnt see a general help thread...just the developer help one.

Anyway, I am just wondering if anyone know why I might be experiencing LOWER FPS after upgrading my graphics card and RAM.

Upgraded from a rx580 8GB w 16G of Ram to and 6700xt 12 GB with 32 GB of RAM.

I was getting 60 FPS on 1440p on the 580.....now with a graphics card more than twice as powerful, I am getting 30.

Any help is appreciated.

If you use Windows 10 or 11, open up your DXDIAG, a see what resolution is your screen, then select the same size of what was informed inside the Graphics information

Thanks...but that did not work.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers...and that didnt work. I made sure everything else is setting for my display...nothing.

Literally nothing has changed except my GPU and RAM. All the same graphical and Hook settings. And as I said...all my other games run better.

Not sure why this is running worse.

Maybe I need to reinstall everything? Pain, but I dont have any other ideas.

Okay, so just a little update....

I thought it might be hook, so I ran it in OpenGPL just to see how it would run, and while it definitely ran faster, something is still absolutely holding it back. Im getting about 80 FPS average and Im only using 15% of my GPU. My CPU is not overloaded either. As I said, I ran this on 1440p with Hook 5 at 60FPS on my rx580....so Im not sure what could possibly be causing this.

What? You said that run you ran your game at OpenGL and it still low FPS? What OP do you use?

Let`s try some things out:

If none of those steps work, it`s probably some problen in your graphic card

Okay, so you may have helped me here.  I am not sure.

I do not have Nvdia...I have AMD, and Ive done everything I can with that.   Everything appears to be in order.

I took your 3rd suggestions and opened up all the cores and restarted.

When I went back to TK, nothing really seemed to change at first, but I did one weird thing where I adjusted the lights via the toggle menu (not keyboard commands), and for some reason, my FPS TRIPLED!!!!

I do not know if your suggestion is what did it or the weird change I made, but many thanks nonetheless.

Now, I just hope it sticks.   At least now I know its not an issue with my GPU (even though I was pretty sure it wasnt since my other games work well)

Rock on

HAHAHAHHAHA okay!!

The good news, is that we found the ''source'' of this problem
Inside the game, press F5, within the HOOK5 menu find and disable all shadows, and in the game too

I'm back after a long time and discover V11. So far, so good, because this version is finally stable and doesn't crash. I still have the other two versions on my PC. But...the graphics bother me a little. I have a very old Hook version in 7.5 and 10 - I can no longer use it here in V11. Since I make comics, this is very important for me. Can I deactivate the Hook version in V11?

V11 doesn't support hook5, so, that said, there is no need to import/bring you old hook version of 7.5 and 10. V11 is click and play, We still working on integrated graphic hook that will look 10X better than hook5, we call it Hookx64. So that`s it ....

thank you.
