What exactly would you compensate for?

Or to grab it by its more prominent root: In which regard do you not get taken seriously?

[Edit]I cannot stress how unremittingly bad an idea I think something like this would be.

which is why i started this discussion in the first place , both point deserves to be explored .

A bit of clarification on the language used .

To compensate : intentionally kept vague: meaning to offer "something" for the work, time and effort needed to do a "project" aka compensate you for you time.
this could be interpreted in reverse as well . offering a promise of compensation for "work" needed to be done , hence am not paying for the end product but for the time and effort it took to make it.

secondary , the nature of said compensation is intentionally vague , the obvious is monetary but that on it own has issues , alternatively compensation can take other forms such as goods purchased online and shipped as "payment"

This is admiringly an ethical ethical gray zone .

the second point you mention is about being taken seriously.
From wear i stand , it is unlikely that a skilled "modder" would take up MY request(s) just because , not with out some sort of incentive.
Asking has not got me anywhere , my "work" does not interest them so nothing to trade or motivate them for assistance and i will not beg or plead .
What i can offer is to reward them dot work i need node.

In a perfect situation exchanging services would be ideal , so far all i heard from the community was silence .
